Day 2:  Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center & Nairobi National Park
After breakfast, take a tour to the Karen Blixen Museum.  This was once the center-piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’, an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title. The Museum belongs to a different time period in the history of Kenya and has historical significance.  It is also associated with the life of a person significant to Kenya’s past as the home of Baroness Karen Blixen from 1917 -1931 and served as the setting and basis of her book ‘Out of Africa’.  The museum embodies the distinctive architecture of the late 19th century bungalows.

Visit the Giraffe Center, a preserve dedicated to raising rare giraffes.  Climb the tree house deck and feed giraffes by hand.  Learn about preservation efforts put in place to increase the giraffe population.

End the day with a nature walk at the Nairobi National Park, the only city in the world with a national park.

The word Bomas is derived from "Boma"-a Swahili word for enclosed homestead.  Experience the many different "Bomas", each one representing one of Kenya's major ethnic groups and the different aspects of Kenyan culture displayed including living styles, crafts, music and dancing.  You cannot afford to miss the most exciting traditional dances and acrobatic show.
